Some demonstrations of some Excel techniques

Use sensitivity analysis to identify which variables "drive"
a complex model and to validate the usefulness of the model
under a wide range of conditions. I extracted this example
from some work I did for a health care startup in 2003.
Pivot tables can provide cross-sectional views of data.
Look at the various worksheets in this hypothetical
example of ice cream shop sales.
By replacing one loan with another, a borrower can obtain
a lower periodic payment, or a larger loan with the same
periodic payment. Lenders have corresponding opportunities
in the management of their assets. This spreadsheet compares
two hypothetical loans and calculates their differences.
